To our customers: Thanks for helping us get better

I’ve got some great news to share with you. The results of Starkville Utilities’ customer satisfaction survey show improvements in several performance areas that are vital in our mission to provide safe, reliable and affordable utilities.

Some may recall that we commissioned a third-party survey in 2020 to gain deeper insights into how our customers feel about their utility services. Their input prompted us to launch The Renew Principle to focus on areas where we were not meeting expectations. Based on results of a follow-up survey conducted in January, our customers have noticed.

It’s worth noting that we made gains at a time when other service providers in our community experienced dips in customer satisfaction. The fact that we bucked the trend is a testament to our employees’ focus on continuous improvement and their drive to follow through on commitments.

As pleased as we are with our success, we are not stopping there. Going forward, watch for more enhancements, including even better communications, new reliability initiatives, upgrades to our automated meter reading system, and the introduction of an outage information platform – all designed to bring greater value to you as a customer.
