“Customers tell us they want greater accessibility and more communication, and SmartHub is a huge step in that direction,” said Edward Kemp, Starkville Utilities general manager. “With its intuitive design, powerful features, and commitment to security, SmartHub puts customers in the driver's seat like never before when it comes to managing their utility accounts.”
Starting this month, customers can register for SmartHub at https://sud.smarthub.coop/ or visiting starkvilleutilities.com and clicking the SmartHub button. Once registered, they can view and pay bills and activate features such as account notifications, enroll in AutoPay, paperless billing and other time- and money-saving features. Customers should note that when initially enrolling in SmartHub, they will use their previous account number and add 001 to the end.
Current customers who are set up on bank draft will not be required to re-enroll for AutoPay in SmartHub. There is no fee for AutoPay payments and can be linked to a checking or savings bank account.
SmartHub also includes an analysis tool that allows customers to compare daily, monthly and yearly utility usage and costs. Customers can gain deeper insights into how they’re spending their utility dollars and areas where they can improve efficiency and lower bills.
Customers can manage SmartHub accounts from their preferred devices—phone, tablet or PC—and securely pay bills by e-check, or AutoPay. Customers can also pay using a credit or debit card by using the PayNow site located at https://sud.smarthub.coop/ui/#/paynow. Payment information is encrypted during every transaction so you can rest assured your personal information is protected.
SmartHub can be programmed to send texts, emails, and automated phone call alerts to help customers get the most out of their utility services, avoid late fees, and make the right decisions about their accounts.
Creating an account is easy and takes less than three minutes. By investing a little time upfront, customers will be on their way to enjoying the many benefits of SmartHub and experiencing a whole new level of control and convenience when it comes to managing your utility accounts.
